We were all shocked and saddened to hear yesterday of the death of friend, colleague and former record producer Chris Harley. Chris was a major part of the Runrig story, producing the breakthrough albums through the eighties and early nineties. In his capacity as producer, he was instrumental in helping to create the sound of the band. Chris was held in deep affection by all associated with Runrig and his passing will be keenly felt. He passed away peacefully at his home on the Isle Of Skye, after a long debilitating illness. He is survived by his wife Ibby and son Lewis, and our thoughts and prayers go out to them at this difficult time.

RUNRIG have had a strong and enduring relationship with the TONDER FESTIVAL in Denmark stretching back over many years. It is therefore a great pleasure for us to announce that we will be performing this year, as part of the festival’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
This year’s event resonates for the band in a very particular way, as we ourselves have spent the past year celebrating our own 40th year in the music business. As well as our own performance, the band aim to partake in one of the special afternoon concerts alongside other artistes.
We are all looking forward to a very special birthday party this August in Tonder.
It’s getting close to release time for the long awaited film and CD of Party On The Moor, the epic 40th Anniversary Concert. It will be officially released on March 31st, and there will be an opportunity to pre- order in a few weeks time. It will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray and both the film and the separate audio CD will feature the concert in its glorious, unedited entirety.
