Over the past month, the editing process involving the Party On The Moor film footage has got well underway. From the 12 cameras that filmed the event, including both stage and audience positions, the editing team are delighted with progress, the aim being to represent the live performance as accurately as possible and to show the special atmosphere that was there at the event.
With that in mind, we‘ve a request to all you budding Spielbergs out there to send in any footage you might have taken during the day and during the concert!
It might be shots of the band from the audience; it might be people dancing; it might simply be groups of friends standing together, raising a drink for the camera; anything, even something seeming quite inconsequential can take on a different look when added into the main footage!
Your footage can be on a mobile or a camera, anything that might give an added twist or angle to the main DVD. (We also, of course, went through this process for Beat The Drum, with an excellent response that turned up some gems of footage that eventually found their way on to the master.)
Send in your footage to the office in whatever format is most convenient for you – memory stick, DVD, online as QuickTime Player. Everyone that sends in their movies will get a name credit on the DVD and the best three that get used will receive a special prize, together with a feature in the the Spring edition of the Wire.
Look forward to hearing from you – Mike.
